One of the things that we describe this restaurant was we want this place to feel like a home away from home . Joyce is my mother and my daughter's , uh , middle name and the inspiration for the restaurant for , I grew up on southern food . My mom was a huge cook .
The owner Alfonso was also born and raised in the city of Los Angeles and is working hard to give back to the community with great food . And the chef obviously brings his culinary talents and skills , but passion for southern cooking and he is bi close to him and his wife Cassidy and Cassidy does the beverage program .
