I think that's really been helpful for me , and that's kind of eased my transition and made me a better baseball player on the field as well . Uh , academics in baseball , uh , finding a way to balance them is , is tricky at times . Um , you know , obviously , Northwestern is , is a very good school and academically rigorous school .
Because , you know , you have a lot of stuff to do . So , uh , you gotta make sure that you're , you're on task and you're doing it , so you don't fall behind , especially with the quarter system here . Everything goes pretty fast .
I think that's a makeup of the people , um , both athletically . And like , just school as well . Um , I think it's a , a really great community that we have here , um , not just with my team , but with all the athletes .

And just through , you know , hard work before I got here and after I got here continuously working , uh , I was able to play every game last year . So , I think that has really helped me this year , and I've seen kind of the separation between , um , the people that I played with in high school who were also in my grade , um , that went on to play in college . It's like , a lot of those kids , um , didn't really get that opportunity last year .
