Is that still the school and are those still the people that you want to be surrounded with ? And ultimately for me , that was Michigan , but I think there's a way to work it out that you will find the right place for you . You just have to be patient .
I am Natalie Melman . I'm a sophomore on the field hockey team at the University of Michigan . My early mentors and coaches were Nancy Cox , my club field hockey coach , and Katie Morris .
I want to branch out , experience something new , and so I actually saved Michigan as my last official visit and visited a variety of schools and I just remember every single school I went to , I would get in the car with my parents or on the plane with my parents and be like , Well , Michigan has this and it's different than Michigan . I , I like Michigan that they do this better . And so then it came to my visit and I just like walked in and like it was just a sigh of relief .
But ultimately after visiting everywhere , I decided that Michigan was very much home for me . So originally , being from the Ann Arbor area , I had in my mind I was like , I don't want to go to Michigan . I want to branch out , experience something new , and so I actually saved Michigan as my last official visit and visited a variety of schools and I just remember every single school I went to , I would get in the car with my parents or on the plane with my parents and be like , Well , Michigan has this and it's different than Michigan .
