When I think about my process through Like elementary school and high school , um , just like with field hockey , there's so many people that helped me along the way , so I feel like it's uh almost my duty to kind of do the same and give back in the ways that other people have for me . Um , typically that's For me personally , in the form of um I help out with the local clubs and um like I have a couple of girls that I mentor on the side and then um I'm an ambassador for the JDRF which is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation , um and it just feels It honestly just feels nice that I can give back in some way , shape or form , um , just considering how many people have helped me along the way , and I know I would not be here in any means necessary without the help of every single person that has pushed me along . I know you guys have talked to Zoe .
Field hockey is a fall sport , so it was definitely a whirlwind kind of starting school and meeting everyone as well as like my very first season , and these are the best girls I've ever played with , um , so it was definitely a lot thrown at you at once . Um , I'm very fortunate that the Girls in my recruiting class , I'm very close with and kind of it was really nice to be able to rely on them and my older teammates as resources for kind of just advice on how to get through things , um , but I would say every single program in every single school has help for you if you know to ask for it . And I think I sometimes had to learn the hard way and I definitely saw like my teammates and friends do the same , but if you need help , ask for it before it's actually an issue and you like everyone will be willing to help , there's plenty of resources there for you .
I'm a sophomore on the field hockey team at the University of Michigan . My early mentors and coaches were Nancy Cox , my club field hockey coach , and Katie Morris . Um , she , I'm a type one .

It was a very successful season for us , especially last year was not necessarily our best season , um , and we kind of had to come together as a team after last year's season finished up and just like talk through like we knew that this was not what we wanted as an outcome for the season and um literally from that moment we had through offseason through summer , had worked insanely hard .
diabetic and she also is um and both played at the University of Michigan and both led me into the sport as a whole and just guided me along the process along the way . I would say the biggest piece of advice that Either of them gave me is probably that being a good person is more important than anything and everything else will follow along with that . And I think kind of just doing the right thing along your whole trajectory has been my guiding principle all the way through .
