Uh , I'm from the North Shore , Northbrook , Illinois , so it's very close to home , and also it's the best school that I had an opportunity to play sports at . So the academics and academics was the number one thing for me as you can't play football for the whole entire for the rest of my life , so you gotta have a path after . It doesn't matter if you play 15 years in the NFL or just college , you have to have a path , so here that gives you the best path going forward .
So that's just what I'm looking forward to and which they've helped me do by just like give me the right mindset insights of how like , how I could turn those dreams into reality . Yeah , that's very uh balancing academics and football is very hard here , as the academics is extremely rigorous , but it's uh it's a give or take . It's a lot easier when you're not in season as you don't have the installs coming in daily , but in season balancing off film installs , and then school work as as the quarter where quarters here , so .
So just in a short period of time . Overcoming all these hurdles and ending up in a great school like Northwestern . It's something that I am very happy and couldn't be , couldn't wish for anything more .
Yeah , all that all it's all part of the whole end goal of hopefully making it to the next level and playing . As well as you can at Northwestern . So obviously , like eating the most , like eating the best foods I can listening to Rachel and Peter and the nutritional staff is huge , as well as recovery after workouts with Coachannos and his team , just go hitting the tubs , going in the sauna , anything I can to get one step better and one step ahead our competition .
But then those last 4 weeks , you have tremendous amounts . So just spreading out your work and balancing it out , asking teachers for stuff early , it all helps out . And then one of my biggest regrets is not playing football earlier , as I love it so much and I really missed out on .
