I'm a football player here at Northwestern University . Some of the best advice I received from my mentors and coaches is just uh go as hard as you can for as long as you can and go . Just have an unrelentless work ethic and just go until you can anymore and just never say no and always just give it to you all whenever you can .
It's just like the best moments and unfortunately , I missed out on those , so just like trying to , and I'll just tell them my person my myself back in junior year , just to take everything and remember everything and don't give anything for granted as you never know when , what will happen and just doesn't matter what sport you're playing , you baseball , basketball , or football , just enjoy every moment , enjoy every moment as it all goes away pretty fast . Yeah , I mean , just some advice to younger Division One younger athlete , high school athletes , trying to get scholarships just , it doesn't matter when you start , just keep on working hard and good things happen to people who work the hardest , so just work relentlessly and eventually good things will happen . My name is Landon Lauder , a football player here at Northwestern University , and you can check me out at Next Level Prep .
But then those last 4 weeks , you have tremendous amounts . So just spreading out your work and balancing it out , asking teachers for stuff early , it all helps out . And then one of my biggest regrets is not playing football earlier , as I love it so much and I really missed out on .
That's just like how you end up earning the scholarship without see my ending goal . So that's just what I'm looking forward to and which they've helped me do by just like give me the right mindset insights of how like , how I could turn those dreams into reality . Yeah , that's very uh balancing academics and football is very hard here , as the academics is extremely rigorous , but it's uh it's a give or take .
As well as you can at Northwestern . So obviously , like eating the most , like eating the best foods I can listening to Rachel and Peter and the nutritional staff is huge , as well as recovery after workouts with Coachannos and his team , just go hitting the tubs , going in the sauna , anything I can to get one step better and one step ahead our competition . Some challenges I faced throughout my sports journey was I didn't start playing football to my junior year of high school , as my parents unfortunately wouldn't let me .
