As well as you can at Northwestern . So obviously , like eating the most , like eating the best foods I can listening to Rachel and Peter and the nutritional staff is huge , as well as recovery after workouts with Coachannos and his team , just go hitting the tubs , going in the sauna , anything I can to get one step better and one step ahead our competition . Some challenges I faced throughout my sports journey was I didn't start playing football to my junior year of high school , as my parents unfortunately wouldn't let me .
I couldn't asked anything more for . Just learning the playbook and learning everything was very hard , but just having them go one step at a time , helping me get extra reps . That just was um , that just helped me tremendously throughout , as well as their insight about how like , just getting extra reps after staying after being the first one in the last one out .
Just have an unrelentless work ethic and just go until you can anymore and just never say no and always just give it to you all whenever you can . Some of the most things I focus on my training regimen is obviously strength as I'm a football player and I'm a defensive lineman . So there's a direct correlation between being strong and also quick feet .
It's something that I am very happy and couldn't be , couldn't wish for anything more . It was like a mix of , um , coaches and , uh , trainers , because I was a basketball and baseball player , and they all saw my body and they're like , you have to get let him play on the line . So then finally , my head football coach in high school , coach Matt Purdy convinced my dad that , uh , he'll do me right and there's nothing to worry about .
I'm a football player here at Northwestern University . Some of the best advice I received from my mentors and coaches is just uh go as hard as you can for as long as you can and go . Just have an unrelentless work ethic and just go until you can anymore and just never say no and always just give it to you all whenever you can .
