Hello and welcome to L A in Scripted , everyone . I'm David Devin from the Montauban theater's rooftop movies there . We're smack in the middle of Hollywood right now just off the corner of the famed Hollywood Vine at one of the coolest venues this city has to offer created by the remarkable Gilbert Smith .
So my goal is really to make this as ubiquitous as a refrigerator . And then in 1932 I just recently read during the pandemic that one of the brothers was accused of laundering $12.5 million . So this has had a very rich history , this theater in the summer of 78 I was a young photographer and I met Anita Montauban . I convinced Anita to go out with me and we did some testing we presented and we never separated , got married and had 40 years of really the most wonderful life together .
This is a success beyond my wildest dreams . Just operating the rooftop takes care of the entire overhead of running the theater annually . Gilbert is truly poured all of his love into this place .
