One of the greatest things was you are , I would say the environment , the people , the friendships you make , even the teachers , the coaches , everything it's so . Comfortable , you feel safe in a way and I think it's really easy to seek for help and they give you so many opportunities and help like the resources are great , so I would say all that and then the people are definitely one of the biggest things . One of the things I have learned here being a tennis player is .
I'm a person that likes to learn about new people , new everything , and just love spending time . With family and friends , and advice I will give to young athletes that are thinking about coming to college to play sport is to keep working hard . What you're doing right now really matters for your future , I will say , and never give up and don't let other people tell you no , you're not going to make it this far , no , that's like that's too big like you're not gonna make it now , you don't listen to anyone , just keep working as hard as you can and if you feel like You're giving up , just try to push it through because it's going to be worth it .

Hello , my name is Lauren Cedeno , and I'm a tennis player here at YSU .
Well , my mom helped me because obviously I was , I was a senior in high school . I was all of this was going on and like all my friends , my teachers , they all realized like that I was struggling and but my mom was always there with me just saying like . You're gonna make it no matter what , you're gonna end up where you're meant to be , so we kind of went through it day by day and just trying to stay positive .
It was just the feeling , like how I felt when I came here . Everyone was so caring . They really care about you , not only as a student athlete , but as a person .
