set myself up for a better life . My recruitment process had a lot of ups and downs . Um , I started off pretty late , you know , freshman year , sophomore year .
Um , I would say earlier in my high school career , I was really like everyone else , I was trying to be a normal lineman and not really excel . Um , and take that really extra step of , you know , you have a team lift , but you need to lift by yourself , you need to do extra stuff where you're gonna continue to be normal , and I feel like that's when I really flipped the switch of if I really want to do this , then I I give for younger athletes trying to get recruited is really just put your name out there . Um , nowadays , social media is a big , big platform to help you boost yourself .
So , I would say really just to have a routine of what I need , what my body needs , and what my mind needs to become the best athlete I could possibly be . Some advice I'll give for younger student athletes trying to go to Division One is . To start early , um , I think my biggest regret as an athlete was , I would think I have to wait till I started to really act like I wanted to go to Division One or wait until I , you know , was better than everyone , but it really starts when you're when you're not , um , you're not just gonna rock it shoot up out of nowhere and become the best .

You have to start young and be intentional of what you want to do and how you want to do it . So I would say have a routine early .
Um , nowadays , social media is a big , big platform to help you boost yourself . Coaches are , will find you easily that way , and I think posting your , your everyday life of even what you eat , how you lift , they everything throughout the day , every coach wants to see that you train , stuff like that , it makes it easier for your name to blow up . Northwestern was my number one choice because it had , had really everything .
