Here's the cool new way to live local . My wife Maciel was making plant based meats at home . We were living in Brooklyn at the time and we started doing tastings and more tastings and expanding the kinds of meats that she was making and basically got to a point where we felt like let's open up a shop .
It just wasn't what we wanted even though we have , we crave meat . So we wanted something that was healthier , but we still could get our fix of plant based meats . I'm sure it's a good feeling that you are a Latino woman with a business here in Highland Park and it's just groundbreaking , you know .
