So Tail the Pup started in 1946 . Originally , it was on the corner of La Siega and Beverly , a super popular spot until about the eighties where they lost their lease . Another example of something called programmatic architecture , which is a building in the shape of something else .
It's always surprising to me when somebody says that they haven't been here because there's been 170 million people through these doors in the last 90 years . So it's been such an institution in a part of downtown Los Angeles and Los Angeles culture in general . I've been collecting everything here in this location .

The L A Conservancy is a nonprofit that advocates and educates for the buildings , historical buildings , historical neighborhoods , architectural concentrations that need to continue on and be a part of the fabric of Los Angeles , the history of Los Angeles . That's why I love this show .
