Based on my experience, when it comes to academics, it's important to find a college that not only meets your athletic needs, but also provides strong academic resources. At the University of Michigan, for example, there are excellent academic resources such as tutoring support and guidance to help students maintain a balance between their sports commitments and academics. Personally, I have found it helpful to use a detailed calendar and begin tasks early to manage both my softball schedule and academic workload effectively. Additionally, it's beneficial to have an understanding of what you want to pursue post-college and to incorporate that into your college selection process. I recommend taking the time to visit colleges not just for sports purposes, but also as a regular student to understand the academic programs and ensure they align with your interests and career goals. Furthermore, maintaining open communication with professors and attending office hours has been instrumental in seeking academic support and staying on track with my studies. It's crucial to find a college that caters to your individual needs and interests, allowing for a balance that enables you to excel both academically and athletically.
