You know , I'm everything in this world that people don't like . And so when Pride Month comes around , it's this notion of , there's a history of people who fought to make my life a little bit easier . And so now I'm here kind of doing the same thing .
Now , our sponsor spotlight some local black queer voices . I think pride um over the last few years has changed mainly because it's become commercialized . It's become less of a protest and more of a just celebration of , of life .
But also , you know , you can build your own box and just shop around and pick what your friend or your client or who you're gifting for . You'd think they'd like every month is Pride Month around here . Um I'm glad that there is a dedicated month for the queer community , the LGBT Q community .
And I think there's a utility in all of that , but pride always will be always was protests . Pride actually started in around 1969 right around the time of the Stonewall riots . It started with people being angry about the injustice they were facing .
