Uh , so when your name's called , you can be ready and You know , hopefully , hopefully flourish from there . The strategies I use to balance academics and athletics has been scheduling my day a day ahead . So before I go to bed at night , I'll write out the time that I'm going to spend thinking about basketball , watching film , hitting the weights , things of that nature , and the time that I'm gonna completely focus on academics and give basketball a break from my mentor .
My final piece of advice is everything matters , um , and nothing is . Neutral . Whatever you're doing , uh , it's either gonna benefit you for the better or for the worse .
Being a college athlete , uh , I think I've dealt with a fair amount of adversity , and what I try to remind myself through all of it is time will tell . So I like to just do the right thing that way , when time tells , it tells in my favor . My recruitment process has kind of been everything but normal .
I think the biggest things I've learned thus far in my basketball career has kind of been how little things aren't so little . I think um there's a million little things that go into every single day as a college basketball player and You know , I think if you fall behind on the little things , you'll end up falling behind on the big things . I think NIL has been a great thing for , you know , many college athletes .
Neutral . Whatever you're doing , uh , it's either gonna benefit you for the better or for the worse . So to keep that in mind , everywhere you are and everyone you're talking to , because it's a small world and , you know , a relationship you didn't think could get you somewhere might , and , you know , that extra one rep that you didn't think really matters could matter the most .
