And yeah , it's been a great opportunity . Some advice for high school athletes trying to go D1 is to work harder than anybody else , um , put a large emphasis on academics and have fun through it all because whatever is meant to happen is going to happen . Smile , enjoy your surroundings , and work hard .
Like I said , Northwestern , um , for me , it's all about the people , um , the people and the opportunities . World-class athletics , world-class academics , puts you in a great place to succeed in sport and after sport , but also the people . The connections I've built , um , with the team , we're like a family .
Uh , the campus is beautiful , the school is amazing , but why I chose Northwestern is the people . When you're talking to college coaches , scouts , things like that , just be yourself . Um , you don't want to sell them something that isn't real .
Uh , go to Northwestern University on the wrestling team . Some of the best advice I've given , I've been given from my coaches is just to trust their trust them , trust myself , trust in our training . Um , yeah .
You know , it's busy , but the way you do one thing is , the way you do everything . And if you push yourself hard on the mat , you should be pushing yourself hard in school . Like I said , Northwestern , um , for me , it's all about the people , um , the people and the opportunities .
