Um , yeah . Some of the most important things I focus on in training are just having fun , enjoying the process , uh , working hard . Yeah , some wrestling specific things that I like to focus on is just to control what you can control , um , get to positions you're good at , and , uh , be in good shape .
Uh , go to Northwestern University on the wrestling team . Some of the best advice I've given , I've been given from my coaches is just to trust their trust them , trust myself , trust in our training . Um , yeah .
It was an amazing school , obviously . I wanted to go somewhere that pushed me academically and on the mat . Uh , Big 10 is an amazing conference .
Uh , the jump from high school to Division 1 and the Big 10 , uh , it's a big jump . And so I really had to lean on my coaches and my teammates there to get better and get better fast . Everybody struggles with a little bit of adversity , um , and you just got to push through it , you know , whether it be injuries or off the mat stuff , whatever it may be , um , trust that it's all , it's all planned out .
You know , it's busy , but the way you do one thing is , the way you do everything . And if you push yourself hard on the mat , you should be pushing yourself hard in school . Like I said , Northwestern , um , for me , it's all about the people , um , the people and the opportunities .
