So like , just really taking time to appreciate the moment . So all the younger athletes out there are looking to , you know , go D1 or , you know , play at your dream school , I would just say to work hard . Um , that's really it .
I feel like what really helped me with the recruiting process was just playing for the right coach . You know , it's really important to get that college exposure and play the highest level tournaments possible . So that's what I would recommend .
Um , I think sometimes , at least I did , I put them on a pedestal , and I feel like just realizing that , you know , they have a family and they're just like me . So I chose Northwestern because of our softball program here . I had always heard how amazing it was , and I didn't really understand how true that was until I got here .

That's the biggest difference between college and high school softball that really sets it apart . Balancing softball and academics is a little bit hard , I'm not going to lie , but I feel like it just takes very good time management and , you know , just like understanding that you got to do your schoolwork to play softball . I feel like the upperclassmen on my team have really helped me when it came to like , you know , just Helping me realize that it's just softball , and it's the same sport that I've been playing since , you know , I was 6 .
