You know what I'm saying ? Like New York City may be considered the birthplace of modern tattooing , but it's at Dodgers Stadium here in so where we found the birth of a local tattooing hero . Yes .
I mean , I'm really fortunate most of them have been here with me for nearly 15 years . We got um four of us , five of us including me , but we're lucky to have like real L a natives that are just here playing their trade and putting the best art they can on their clients and the art of the tattoo isn't just a man's world . It's , it's really weird man because it's almost like therapy where you gotta go over the same things or things from your childhood or , you know , cool moments , embarrassing moments , uh everything gets brought up , you know , because you want to be honest and you wanna try to put as much out there as possible . My partner Esteban Oriol is half of the documentary about him as a photographer in L A capturing this culture , everything cartoon did Esteban was there capturing the whole culture low rider culture , tattoo culture . People are gonna try to explain L A culture .
And I was like , man , if I do anything , I'm gonna change that , I'm gonna give the artist in LA a raise , you know , growing up in L A , I've been inspired by so many different people , so many different ethnicities and we all kind of borrow from each other . I take this experience and the tattoos and all the street culture and that's the heaviest influence in my art . Hey , I might be doing something for say vans or Levi's or some major company .
