Growing up in the sport of basketball, one of the biggest challenges I faced was self-doubt. It was difficult for me as I felt pressure from others and struggled with always performing at my highest level. Transitioning from high school to college, I had to work on overcoming self-doubt and also adjusting to the pace and intensity of the game. To overcome this, I had to block out external pressures and focus on building my confidence through hard work. Additionally, I dealt with health issues and spent time in children's hospitals, which added to the challenges. Despite these obstacles, I have found the excitement of new opportunities and have embraced the idea of being a role model to others. Ultimately, I believe everyone has their own unique path and journey, so comparing oneself to others is not productive. Overall, I have learned to work hard, increase my confidence, and embrace the challenges of competition in basketball.

I never got to play with them due to just timing of like travel basketball and high school basketball , but I blessed enough to be able to practice with the team and hopefully be able to play with them in a FIFA tournament or hopefully in the Olympics in the future . Some challenges I faced just growing up in the sport of basketball , I think my biggest one that I faced was self-doubt . There's , um , as an athlete , I think that's really common , especially at a young age , you .

Um , hear a lot of people in your ears saying different things , and it can be a lot , especially at a young age . So I think for me I definitely experienced that , having a lot of people put pressure on me and expect me to always play at my highest level and give it everything I have , and sometimes that's not going to happen every night . And I think getting over that , I just knew that I was confident in myself .

I think that was a big transition for me at the collegiate level . That was a big transition from high school to college and the biggest thing I had to work on in the summer being here , but also just like pace and intensity . I think that is very important when you're training uh to play how you practice or to practice how you play .

I started to build confidence in myself that if I was giving my all , helping my team in any way , and I was putting in the work outside of just playing the game , I had a lot of instilled confidence in myself . To get over that self-doubt , go out there and kind of like take away all the chatter that was in my ears and giving me that self-doubt . So I think just by working hard on the outside it was reflecting and giving me like more confidence .

I've had people reach out to me and been doing some of them , so it's all very new to me , but I'm glad that I have older teammates and friends that have gone through the same thing , so they kind of guided me and directed me in that . But a lot of the opportunities that I hear them getting is very , very exciting . I think my dream NIL related opportunity would probably be to work within a children's hospital .
