I chose Wisconsin because it was close to home for me , which was a big deal for my parents , my family , my friends to all get out here and come see me play . Obviously it's a great academic school and one day the ball is going to stop bouncing and I want to be prepared for whatever that is that I want to pursue in and whether that's right after college or if I want to go professionally and , and then I want to go into the work and stuff like that . I want to be prepared and I think that Wisconsin can provide that for me and being in the Big 10 , obviously it's one of the best conferences , if not the best conference in the country .
Gonna be different so I think just having patience and um continuing to work like even if you are getting recruited very highly just always continuing to work and and trying to get better but I think patience is definitely key and just having determination to always work . It means a lot for me to be a role model to younger girls and like my little cousins who grow up playing sports as well . I think for me it gives me an opportunity to help guide the younger generation in the right direction . I think there can be a lot of bumps and bruises in the process of growing up and playing sports , wanting to play collegiately and stuff like that , and sometimes things can get thrown out of proportion of like what it is to be a collegiate athlete and And whatnot , but I'm very glad that I could be a model to others and just kind of help guide them through it , remind them that it's not always so serious .
That's a big thing that our coach talks about is it's , I get to do something versus I have to do something . So you get to go practice , you get to wake up in the morning , you get to do all these amazing things versus like I have to do these things . So just putting things .
And for the most part they were mid-major schools and then as I like progressed and developed into my senior year , I started to get recruited by bigger schools . I had originally been committed to an SEC school and then I decided to flip my commitment due to my coach leaving and actually being the new head coach here , and that was a big change for me because it was very late in my recruitment process . I had committed in November of my senior year , but I eventually flipped my commitment in the end of April , so it was a big turnaround for me in getting here in June .
