The second school would have been Notre Dame years ago when they used to be in our conference . So it's a big achievement for us , especially for a few years ago . We're finishing last .
Now we have everything we need . As far as personal accomplishments , I was just out of 2nd team conference , my first year of running in conference for cross country . I will , I've been runner up in Uh , the steeplechase .
So going to a program where I can help win , not just win but help win , it was a Big idea in my head . So as far as achievements says happens since I got here to help build that dynasty at Youngstown , we have went 3 for 3 for cross country and indoor or 3 for 3 for cross country , indoor and outdoor with the prospect of winning indoor and outdoor again this year . It's the first time , second time in conference history that a school has went 3 for 3 for cross country .
So consistency is the top thing for me in my sport . As far as challenges I faced to get to the division 1 level , uh , for me it was always about finances first . I didn't grow up with the most wealthy family , and I knew going to college I'd have to get a scholarship .
I was , it was late nights of studying when I should be sleeping to rest and it was skipping out on hanging out with friends to study and do the work . As long as I got the coursework done and I passed my classes , I got a higher grade , I thought I was proud of myself and I thought I was achieving things my family wanted me to do , uh , being a first generation college student , and as soon as I was finished in these classes , I slowly , slowly tapered off . Now that I'm a senior , I finished up all my hard classes .
