The challenges I faced to get to the division 1 level were mainly related to finances, injuries, and finding the right program with a scholarship. Balancing academic scheduling and sports was also difficult. I had to prove myself in order to get the scholarship and had to consider going to a program that might not offer financial aid. Overall, it was a whole world of challenges, but I was always focused on staying true and healthy while competing at a high level.
