Some of the things I focus on on my training is just , uh , staying consistent in the weight room , stay consistent with nutrition . And just overall taking care of your body it's the most important thing , um , and we're running track and field , uh , feeling the best to compete is always important androving as an athlete in track and field , um , personally just paying attention to what my coaches are trying to preach at practice , um , based on technique , especially in my events the sprints and jumps , it's very important and also , uh , staying committed in the weight room is very important as well .
Some of my advice I would give to young athletes trying to reach a deal one level is to just stay patient and stay committed . You , you won't always see the results that you want to see early on , but as long as you're staying committed in your sport , there's always other routes to enter a D1 level . I'd say the biggest thing is to , uh , communicate with your teachers often , let them know your practice schedules , your , uh , travel schedules , all of that just to make sure that coaches are , uh , coaches and teachers are in a loop with whatever is going on .
